“This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.” --John 13:35 (The Message)
One day after yoga class another student stopped me and said, “You have a dog, right?” When I assented, she added, “I see you walking sometimes.” Even though Lexi wasn’t with me, she recognized me from our daily walks. That’s how we should live our lives as Christians. People won’t have to ask if we have faith. They’ll say, “I see you walking”—not sometimes, but all the time. Even when we aren’t in church or volunteering at the homeless shelter, others can recognize us from our daily walk with God. They’ll see that we’re Christ’s disciples; they’ll see that we’re walking in faith. They will see the love we have for one another.
Dear God, Let me be recognized by my love for others. Amen
