“‘Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat.” --Revelation 7:16
Immediately we get home from a walk, Lexi rushes to her water bowl and drinks it dry. The hot sun makes her thirsty. It’s my responsibility not only to walk her but to provide water after our walk so she doesn’t get overheated. Walking a dog isn’t the only duty a dog owner has. Nor does God merely walk with us. He doesn’t just show us the way and keep us company on the road—though these are two mercies for which I’m very grateful. God also provides for our needs and heals our hurts. However parched we get, however scorched we feel, there’s Living Water waiting for us when we get Home.
Dear God, Thank you for the Living Water that waits for me when I walk with you. Amen
