“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” –Psalm 119:105
To solve the problem of Lexi’s ferocious leash-biting on walks, we turned to the internet. My husband found a website called Shiba Shake (www.shibashake.com). The writer blogs specifically about her experience with Shiba Inus; we found her advice useful for coping with our Rottweiler mix, too. My husband bookmarked the page, and I read it every day. The advice was helpful, but mostly I was relieved just to know that other dog owners faced—and overcame—problems like ours. We can find help and advice and consolation when we walk with God, too. The Bible is full of stories about people just like us who hoped, who doubted, who were afraid, who faced hardship and disappointment. The Bible contains plenty of good advice, but as much as anything Scripture shows us that we are not alone. We can turn to the Bible. Put your bookmark in the Good Book, and read it every day.
Dear God, Thank you for the Bible. Amen
